26 Nov 2018 Opti Mid-Winter
The USODA Opti Mid Winter offered some challenging conditions on Lake Pontchartrain. Mornings offered 6 knots of breeze but often died by the afternoon. After 3 days of racing they sailed only 5 races to complete the regatta. Congratulations to Joe Comer finishing 13th in silver fleet. FYC’s newest sailor Brig Baisch was recognized as the youngest sailor in the event, this was also his first event as an advance opti-sailor. Also sailing for FYC was Coleman Kennedy and Cruz Dabney in their first Opti Mid-Winter.
